Works with no internet

Which phones can run it
Coming soonRequires Android 11+ or iOS 16+, with at least 3GB RAM. The model runs on the handset itself, so it needs the memory to hold it.
On mobile devices, Hybrid and Offline always use the on-device AI model. Only Hybrid on the web runs in the cloud - so both tiers need a supported phone. Premium is cloud-side and works on any device today.
What offline mode does - and doesn't - do
- There’s a document size limit. A phone has far less memory than a server, so very large textbooks and long PDFs need to be split into smaller sections to run offline.
- Responses are slower than cloud. On-device generation takes noticeably longer than our online mode, and the gap is wider on older or lower-memory phones.
- A one-time setup download is needed. You’ll download the on-device model once over Wi-Fi. After that, studying costs no data.
- Voice Tutor still needs internet. Spoken conversations stay online-only. Offline covers AI Chat, Flashcards, Quiz, Cram Mode and Study Plan.
We'd rather tell you this now than have you find out after launch. When you have a connection, CramEasy still uses the faster online mode.
